For most people, an auto accident can lead to more questions than you know to ask. The biggest question tends to be, “how much is this collision going to cost me?” Depending on your role in the accident, and your insurance coverage, your cost can vary widely. But one thing that doesn’t change is the rate a collision repair shop can charge for parts and repairs.
Few people know that most states, including Texas, set the maximum rates an auto body shop and collision repair center can charge an insurance company and/or consumer. This means that almost every body shop will charge the same rate for the same quality of repair. Shops that charge less either skip some repairs or use lower quality parts and paint in order to cut their cost. So how does this affect my deductible?
Your collision deductible is an agreement you have with your insurance company. You set how much of the damage you are willing to pay for in an auto accident. So no matter how much collision damage your car has you agree to pay a fixed amount. For example if you have a $500 deductible your insurance company agrees to pay for the cost of the repair minus $500. This is a good thing because if your damage is $1,000 they will pay $500 of the damage. If it is $7,000 of damage they agree to pay $6,500 of the damage. But lucky for you, you found Miracle.
At Miracle Body and Paint we give a discount on our hourly rate and on the cost of parts to you. This discount reduces the amount you pay on your deductible. Many insurance companies will have a list of shops that they prefer you use because those shops will pass discounts to the insurance company. Not Miracle. We save you 10% on labor and 5% on parts. This adds up to big savings. Many times you can find yourself having your deductible cut in half or even waived. Before you see any other shop in San Antonio stop in and get a free estimate.
